For lap counting to work best, please make sure you do the following things:
- Wear Speedo Shine on your wrist during your swim.
- Triple tap Speedo Shine before your first lap. Make sure you notice the blinking LED at the 6 o’clock position.
- Triple tap Speedo Shine after your last lap. The LED should stop blinking after you triple tap.
- Sync with your Misfit app - make sure the app is updated to its latest version.

The Misfit Ray is also meant to provide lap counting using the Speedo Swim app addition according the the Misfit site. Didn't work for me on the first try despite setting the pool length to 25m and triple tapping the Ray before and after swim. Hopefully I've simply overlooked a setting in the app to make this work as advertised.
Hi Barry,
I'm glad you were able to set up lap tracking on your Misfit Ray! If you need anything else, please let us know. Happy swimming!
I recalled that when I checked the activity assigned to triple tap, it was not set to swimming for some reason (despite me setting it the day prior). I made sure the triple tap was assigned to swimming and tried again today. Success - laps and meters covered were recorded, albeit it not as accurately as I'd like. It appears when you do some kick using a kick board, those meters are not detected. But I'm happy now!!
