You can do so with these 3 easy steps:
- Launch the app and swipe to "Wake up to a sunrise scene" (It's to the left of the "Welcome Home" scene)
- Set a finish time for the 30 minute sunrise.
- Make sure your Bolts are connected to your phone before you go to bed.
Want to know more about how it works? We got you covered!
Can I preview the sunrise without setting an alarm?
Yes! By swiping the brightness slider on the bottom, you’ll be able to simulate the sunrise with your finger.
When will the sunrise start?
The time you set is when the sunrise sequence will complete . Tapping the “Lights Out” button will turn off the lights and get you ready for bed. Before going to bed, we recommend to ensure your Bolts are connected to the app. We recommend that you leave the app in the foreground.
How long does the simulated sunrise last?
Studies show that a simulated sunrise of 30 minutes reduces grogginess and wakes you up refreshed, so the default sunrise length is 30 minutes. If you schedule a sunrise less than 30 minutes from the current time, the app will accelerate the sunrise to finish by the end time. That is, if you set a sunrise to complete 1 minute from now, the entire sunrise sequence will take 1 minute. If you set the sunrise to complete 45 minutes from now, the sequence will start after 15 minutes.
Note, you do not need to be on the “Wake Up To A Sunrise” scene for the sunrise to work; so long as you have the alarm enabled and your Bolts connected, the sunrise will trigger at the right time.
How will it integrate with the Misfit Smart Alarm?
We are working on the best way to integrate the sunrise sequence with the Misfit Shine and Flash Smart Alarm. If you use both alarms, we recommend that you set your Smart Alarm to complete about 10 minutes before the time for your Smart Alarm to complete.
